Taipei Computer Association (TCA), one of the organizers of InnoVEX announced that the InnoVEX 2022 Pitch Contest preliminary round is completed and 25 startups will proceed to the semifinal round. In a departure from the previous InnoVEX Pitch Contest, the event will be hold in a hybrid format, not only to provide interested parties to join without geographic or travel limitations; but also to facilitate startups in expanding their network or promotion efforts.

With the travel restriction still in place, the hybrid format of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest will also help visitors and potential partners or investors who cannot join InnoVEX onsite. Both the semifinal and final rounds of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest will be held with the InnoVEX ONLINE platform which will also host livestreams of the stage events as well as online exhibitions during InnoVEX.

The InnoVEX Pitch Contest has been a mainstay of InnoVEX that offers joining startups not only the opportunity to showcase their innovations, but also to win prizes that can definitely help their teams grow. This year, the prize is worth a total of USD 347,000 divided over 11 prizes. The next stage of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest - the semifinal round will take place on May 25 and the startups will pitch to the judge panels, as well as to a live audience of viewers, visitors, and even potential future partners both onsite and online.

This year, the startups joining the Pitch Contest were based in Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, and USA with healthcare and biotech being one of the main categories of the startups; followed by 5G and AI. Out of the entrants, 25 were chosen by the judges to progress into the semifinal round are based in: Brazil, Canada, Finland, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy and Taiwan. Some of the teams were individual startups while others joined the theme pavilions such as Brazil, Future Safari, HYPE GVA Taiwan, NTUST BIC, STPI STARTUP PAVILION, and Inventing Tomorrow Pavilion.

The startups that joined the Pitch Contest showcased incredible originality and innovation that are relevant to today’s digital trends. While only 25 startups could progress to the semifinal rounds, the InnoVEX team would like to congratulate all of the participants who worked hard to prepare their pitch materials and pitch deck.
