Senior automotive engineer with 23 years of experience. Highlights were the first hybrid car of VW Group 2014: XL1 with 307 MPG and as Head of Innovations at Volkswagen 2005 until 2007 and at Audi 2014 until 2021: transformation of the whole predevelopment from ICE to EV and the build of all EV showcars from etron 2015 until etronGT 2018.
Since 2022 Volker was an independent start up consultant for mobility and became the CTO for IndigoTechnologies – a startup in the field of ride-hailing and gig delivery, designing EVs around the unique smart hubwheel technology from MIT, Boston.
