Lucid is a computer vision startup which developed an AI-based 3D depth sensing solution to enable any dual camera device like mobile phones to see depth through machine learning. In the long-run Lucid's pure software solution outperforms expensive hardware competition such as depth sensors, structured light and time of flight systems in performance, intelligence and at no hardware cost. Its Berkeley/Stanford management team has a strong background in computer vision and machine learning, and its newest addition, Jack McCauley, previously a cofounder of Oculus, is leading licensing deals.
