InnoVEX Forum: AI Trends and Applications

2019/05/23

AI previously tried to emulate and surpass human intelligence by mimicking how people think, but now a new approach is taking shape: human-centered AI.
By keeping the end user at the forefront of the experience, instead of trying to outperform humans, AI can make them better at their tasks.

Join us to explore AI's potential and impact on business with Dr. Min Sun, the Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scientist of Appier. He joined Appier from National Tsing Hua University, where he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. His areas of expertise are computer vision, natural language processing, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

Dr. Sun has worked under some of the most influential AI leaders, including Dr. Andrew Ng of Google Brain, Professor Fei-Fei Li of Stanford University, and Professor Silvio Savarese of Stanford University. He contributed crowdsourcing ideas to the revolutionary ImageNet project led by Professor Li in 2009, and he is also an early contributor to the Robot Operating System (ROS) and Microsoft Kinect's human pose estimation system.
