As the global demand for AI continue to grow, the spending for AI servers also rapidly increase and companies are expected to compete in the implementation of AI applications. The research company Gartner recently released a forecast that stated the global IT spending is expected to grow by 9.3% in 2025; reaching a value of USD 5.74 trillion. The report shared that the current spending on generative AI (GenAI) comes mostly from tech companies that aim to build the supply-side infrastructure for GenAI. Spending on data center systems grew the fastest and expenditure on devices, software, and IT services are expected to grow by approximately 10% each. Many CIOs who were interviewed for the report shared they will begin to spend on GenAI beyond proof-of-concept in 2025. The current expectation from enterprise executives and the reality of GenAI capabilities are also expected to align in 2025.
