The Government of Japan has positioned 2022 as the first year of startup creation and formulated the Startup Development Five-year Plan with the express goal of increasing the amount of startup investments by 10x in 5 years. Articles of the plan include strengthening connections with advanced overseas ecosystems as well as strengthening networking at global startup events.
To promote international cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in startup networking as well as between ecosystems, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association will co-organize the Japan Startups Demo Day in InnoVEX 2023. The event will invite a total of mainly 10 ICT startups in various industries to join the Japan Startups Demo Day which will be held on May 31, 15:30 – 17:30 on the InnoVEX Pi Stage. Exhibitors from Japan possess various latest technologies such as Semiconductor manufacturing technology that can be used in special environments and Robot technology that can be a lifelong partner from early childhood education to nursing care. Also, during the event, visitors can directly experience the products exhibited the teams in the Japan – Taiwan Exchange Association (JTEA) Pavilion at InnoVEX 2023 Booth number Q0824.
Japan is unarguably one of the global technology leaders and the Japan Startups Demo Day will feature startups focusing on different technologies and applications. The pitch event will be separated into 2 sessions as follows:
