2023 speaker

Yoshimasa Tanaka received his Ph.D. from Hokkaido University, Japan, in 1992 and spent three years working as a post-doc at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Professor Barry R. Bloom lab in NY. U.S.A.). He moved back to Japan and joined Professor Nagahiro Minato lab (President of Kyoto University), where he collaborated with Professor Tasuku Honjo and developed PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitors ICIs. He has been studying on cancer immunotherapy for more than 30 years.
