As one of the organizers of InnoVEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the upcoming InnoVEX 2025 marks the 10th edition of the startup focused event. TCA stated that InnoVEX has also grown significantly in this period; with the number of exhibitors doubling from 2016, while the number of visitors has tripled. Celebrating this remarkable milestone, the InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest rules will be updated to allow more startups who are interested in joining to participate in the competition. Focusing on the emerging tech trends, the InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest will be open for startups focusing on the following categories: AI, Green Tech, Healthcare & Biotech, Next-Generation Communication, Precision Manufacturing, Semiconductor Applications, and Smart Mobility.

The InnoVEX Pitch Contest has been one of the mainstays as well as the highlights of InnoVEX. With the goal of promoting startups and their innovations, the Pitch Contest offers the participating startups an opportunity to present their innovations to the panel of VC judges and participating spectators. In addition, the winners will also be able to win various prizes ranging from cash prizes to professional resources from both the organizers and sponsors. This year, the registration period will end on April 25, 2025. Interested startups and teams are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.

Startups from Around the World Invited to Join the InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest

The InnoVEX Pitch Contest has been consistently supported by local and international government agencies, world leading tech companies, consulting companies, and more; showcasing the trust and support from the sponsors and the commitment from the organizers to support the global startup ecosystem. Since it started in 2016, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest has gathered prize pools worth a total of USD 1.45 million.

As InnoVEX celebrates its 10th edition, the rules for the InnoVEX Pitch Contest have also been updated to allow non-exhibitors to join the competition after paying their registration fee; while InnoVEX 2025 exhibitors can join the Pitch Contest for free.

To further improve the benefits of the event, InnoVEX 2025 has upgraded its matchmaking services to further promote connection between startups with international VCs, CVCs, industry leading forum speakers, and tech companies through multiple channels. In addition to continuing the ever-popular InnoVEX Night Party, the one-on-one matchmaking in InnoVEX will also be expanded to include an investment matchmaking meeting exclusive to InnoVEX Pitch Contest finalists and the startups joining the national pavilions with the potential investors.

Non-Exhibiting Pitch Contest Participants will be Able to Leverage InnoVEX 2025 to Expand their Network and VC Connection

TCA stated that the Pitch Contest is open for startups founded after January 1, 2017 and academic research startup teams planning to establish a company. Exhibitor and non-exhibitor finalists will need to participate in person at the InnoVEX Center Stage for the Final Round and Award Ceremony on May 22, 2025. Failure to join will be considered as having forfeited the competition.

Exhibiting and non-exhibiting Pitch Contest participants will receive the same benefits in the competition. However, non-exhibiting Pitch Contest participants will not be able to enjoy certain services which are exclusive to InnoVEX 2025 exhibitors such as the 8-months free exposure on InnoVEX Exhibitor page and the priority to use the meeting rooms in the Business Lounge. InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest finalists; regardless of whether they are exhibitors; will be given priority tickets to the InnoVEX 2025 exclusive Night Party.

For startups and teams interested in joining InnoVEX 2025 who cannot secure a booth space; participating in the Pitch Contest as a non-exhibitor will provide them an opportunity directly pitch to the VC judges from the Preliminary review stage. Non-exhibiting Pitch Contest participants can also join InnoVEX with a more streamlined schedule as they will only have to be physically present for the final round and award ceremony on May 22 if they reach successfully cleared the Preliminary review. Please note that non-exhibiting startups or teams will need to pay a participation fee to join the InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest.
