As worldwide technology industry is giving innovation and entrepreneurship more and more attention, COMPUTEX TAIPEI - Asia’s largest ICT B2B trade show will officially launch its startup event, InnoVEX on May 31, 2016, inviting international venture capitalists, government-backed incubators, accelerators and leading corporations’ internal startup sectors to join the event in Taipei, Taiwan. There will be a combination of four main activities: exhibition, pitch contest, forum, and networking. Through the activities, the attending startups can make connections or raise funds by directly meeting international investors, buyers, ICT professionals, and media, building valuable cross-industry partnerships.
Not Just Startups, InnoVEX Creates More Possibilities
The co-organizer Taipei Computer Association (TCA) states that in order to create more possibilities for the event, TCA will participate in an international venture capitalist conference between March and April in 2016 in Taiwan, which will be organized by Taiwan’s National Development Council (NDC), and promote InnoVEX during the conference. It is expected that two hundred internationally renowned venture capitalists will be attending. In preparation of InnoVEX’s program, TCA has invited startup teams from Denmark, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and USA to compete in the pitch contest. There will also be international venture capital firms appearing in the forum, adding an element of diversity.
TCA points out, in order to amplify the event, there will be tech celebrity interviews, successful startup story sharing, panel discussion, and fireside chat. In addition, Successful Silicon Valley startups, well-known technology companies, unicorn companies’ founders and CEOs, media, famous venture capitalist, and top accelerators from Silicon Valley are also on the guest list to join the conversations and forum speeches. As for the themes of the event, attendees can expect hot topics such as IoT, wearables, VR/AR, drone, social networks, sharing economy, crowd-funding, maker spirit, etc. Through a variety of networking activities, attendees can demonstrate and launch products; they will have business matching opportunities such as recruit partners for startup teams or meet buyers.
TWTC Hall 3 to Be An Exclusive Venue for InnoVEX for Three Days
As a custom that startup events are not held for too many days, TCA states that InnoVEX will only be held for three days (May 31st - June 2nd) in TWTC Hall 3. Other than startup teams, COMPUTEX exhibitors who have already registered in other halls but have their own internal startup sectors can also request to exhibit at InnoVEX simultaneously. With all these new approaches, TCA hopes to make InnoVEX an important platform for startups to enter international market and for venture capitalists around the world to discover startups they are looking for.
