To boost Taiwan's position as a global semiconductor powerhouse, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) organizes the IC Taiwan Grand Challenge. Focusing on teams actively leveraging innovative IC design to develop advanced application solutions or enhanced technologies, the Challenge gives special attention to teams in the fields of Smart Data and AI, Smart Mobility, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Medtech, and Sustainability. The winners of the first batch were announced on September 9, 2024. 6 outstanding innovative technologies from 15 countries were selected for a total of 72 technologies. The innovation hub of Asia – InnoVEX will return from May 20 to 23, 2025 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2. In 2024, InnoVEX gathered 400 startups from 32 countries and regions. 2024 marked the most diverse InnoVEX yet; featuring country pavilions representing Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, India, Indonesia, and Japan. In total, the event was joined by 32,850 visitors from around the world.
