Edward is a Senior Director with JAFCO Asia and responsible for investment activity in Taiwan. Focus business areas for Edward are TMT (technology, media and telecommunications), renewable energy, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity startups. His training and career experience give him the breadth and depth of knowledge to identify and develop profitable venture capital opportunities.
After obtaining an MBA and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science at Cornell University in the US, Edward joined WANDL, Inc. (acquired by Juniper Networks) and was a key contributor to the firm’s success with its network planning and management software. He then supervised investments in venture capital funds for the finance division of TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). Edward went on to manage US investment portfolios for Singapore-listed investment firm, Hotung International, before joining JAFCO Asia in 2010.
