Yvie Tai is Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Inc. and Lead of Ecosystem Development Program in APAC, such as Qualcomm AI Program for Innovators (QAIPI) - APAC, Qualcomm Innovate in Taiwan Challenge (QITC) and L2Pro Taiwan (Learn to Protect, Secure and Maximize your Innovations). With this role, she builds partnerships and finds new business opportunities arising out of the program.

QAIPI is a new initiative aimed at supporting developers and startups from Japan, Singapore and Korea to create cutting-edge on-device AI solutions across diverse sectors and fostering innovation and building a stronger ecosystem for AI-driven technologies in the APAC region. QITC was started in 2019 to support the development of Taiwan startup ecosystem by identifying and nurturing innovative startups and has incubated 59 startups with innovative applications and solutions across industries. L2Pro is designed to help startups and SMEs acquire knowledge in the field of intellectual property rights through a series of free online training courses and hence boost their core competencies.

After joining Qualcomm in 2007, Yvie has held various roles including as software lead in the Customer Engineering department and staff manager in the Product Marketing department of Qualcomm CDMA Technology (QCT) where she led the adjacent market business development in Taiwan and drove design wins and products launch. Prior to Qualcomm, Yvie worked at a startup and a law firm as R&D engineer and patent engineer, respectively.

Yvie holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing-Hua University and National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan and has completed the Graduate Credit Program in Business Administration from National Taiwan University.
