MOST GLORIA invites 15 alliances to participate in COMPUTEX TAIPEI from June 5th to June 9th, 2018. The alliances are going to present the visitors with their cutting edge technologies, member services, and research achievements in Biotechnology & Medicine, Green Energy, AI & IoT, Smart Machinery, Financial Technology, and New Agriculture. Technology and business matchmaking services are also going to be provided by the alliances during the exhibition.
Minister of Science and Technology, Chen Liang-gee stated that the pavilion of MOST GLORIA in the exhibition serves as a platform for the alliances to demonstrate their advanced technologies and services. Participation in COMPUTEX 2018 will provide each alliance the opportunity to find powerful partners in linking Taiwan with the world and creating an innovative ecosystem.
Started in September 2017, MOST GLORIA has recruited 74 famous industrial members, invested more than 20 million dollars in total, and cultivated 1,313 industry-specific talents. During COMPUTEX, top research teams from the alliances are going to give 17 technical presentations on Medicine, Energy, AI, Opto-Electronic Engineering, FinTech, Elder Care, Agriculture, Environmental Protection, etc. Interested enterprises are welcome to attend these presentations and interact with the research teams.
A ribbon cutting ceremony as well as a signing press conference will also be held at June 6, 1 p.m. Invited guests include representatives from the industry, the government, the academia, and the institute. In addition, international members from the industry, such as IBM, Kneron, and Microsoft are also invited to join this press conference to announce their cooperation with the universities for the matchmaking of technologies and talents.
To address the importance of AI in the technological development of Taiwan, MOST GLORIA will also present four forums with speakers from National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Chiao Tung University, Taipei Medical University, and National Chengchi University in the InnoVEX Forum on June 6th at TWTC Hall 3. Topics of the conferences are AI Is the Driver for Innovation, Best Practices to Get Started with Enterprise AI, Innovative A.I. Application & Practice, and AI in Fintech, which are presented by speakers from Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA, IBM, Appier, ImmerVision, Insilico, Graphen, etc. Interested IT enterprises, international buyers, venture capital companies, science and technology startups, and enthusiasts are welcome to join these events to know more about the application of AI in different fields.
The major aims of MOST GLORIA are focusing on advantageous fields, integrating university’s R&D achievements with the industry, and further linking Taiwan with the globe to keep pace with the world trend. By hosting technical presentations, offering member services, carrying matchmaking activities, holding cooperation signing ceremony and providing AI forums in COMPUTEX 2018, exhibitors and visitors will know more about GLORIA, and further promote GLORIA to the world.
