Autonomous Driving Trending: InnoVEX 2017 Expands Unmanned Technology Theme


Taipei Computer Association (TCA), one of the organizers of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, stated today that the brand new startup exhibition area InnoVEX, established just this year and attracted 217 startups from 22 countries and tens of thousands of investors and vendors, is scheduled to be held from May 30th to June 1st in 2017. The theme of InnoVEX 2017 will include AI, IoT, Mobility, AR/VR, and Startup Ecosystem. Mobility will specifically focus on Unmanned Technology and Autonomous Vehicles. “We had invited many autonomous vehicle key component suppliers to discuss the development and future trend of Unmanned Technology at this June’s InnoVEX Forum, including rugged computer system provider StackRack and 3D LiDAR manufacturer Velodyne LiDAR, which received investment from Baidu and Ford Motor Company. The event was packed with people, indicating that companies in Taiwan, as well as international investors, have been following this topic with close attention, at the same time bringing a different trend and direction for the Taiwan ICT industry. To keep this trend going, we will continue to collaborate with 7Starlake in 2017 and expand the forums and displays to future mobility and unmanned devices, pushing Taiwan’s ICT industry to connect with the global autonomous vehicle trend. Taiwanese company 7Starlake collaborates with French startup Navya to enter the autonomous vehicle market of Greater China Region

Navya, French autonomous vehicle startup, is optimistic about the Greater China region’s demand of green, smart vehicles, announcing today that it has appointed Taiwanese Corporation 7Starlake as its only partner in the Greater China region. Together, Navya and 7Starlake will enter the smart vehicle market of Taiwan and China, and they hope to demonstrate “Smart City, Smart Traffic” through collaborations with local and central governmental units, allowing citizens to experience the convenience, safety, and stability of autonomous vehicle systems.
