Rapid changes in the market have elevated digital transformation into a necessity. With increasing interest and demands in metaverse applications and smart mobility solutions, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) will organize the Smart Innovation Forum in the 2023 Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE) Kaohsiung on March 31, 2023. Focusing on the themes of metaverse and smart mobility, the Smart Innovation Forum will be held in the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, North Hall, Seaport Meeting Room. The forum will invite industry leaders from the two topics, including representatives from Acer ITS, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Jorjin Technologies, ARPlanet Digital, and more.

The forum will include keynote speeches and panel discussions which will focus on metaverse trends and the smart mobility ecosystem as well as the opportunities and best practices for both technologies. Interested parties are welcome to register to the forum in advance.

In addition to the Smart Innovation Forum, TCA will also organize the InnoVEX Smart South Pavilion in the 2023 SCSE Kaohsiung. The pavilion will feature 7 startups: Deepmentor, Finetech ITS, innoDepX, LYDSEC, Microip Inc., Shield eXtreme, Vasee; and a special participation by the Hungarian Trade Office. The startups will feature their innovations in Cybersecurity, Smart parking, Edge AI, 3D camera systems, identity authentication solutions, AI design automation, and more.

Focusing on Digital Transformation through Metaverse & Smart Mobility, the Smart Innovation Forum will be Held on March 31

To address the demands for smart mobility in smart cities; the Asia Silicon Valley-Major League IoT, COMPUTEX, and InnoVEX will organize the Smart Innovation Forum with Taipei Computer Association (TCA), Taiwan IOT Technology and Industry Association (TwIoTA), Taiwan Advanced Automotive Technology Development Association (TADA), Taiwan Glora Alliance (GloRa), and Metaverse Application Alliance as co-organizers. The Smart Innovation Forum will be held during Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE) Kaohsiung 2023 on March 31 in the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, North Hall, Seaport Meeting Room. The forum will focus on the business opportunities made possible by metaverse and smart mobility applications.

TCA stated that metaverse as a technology will be a key foundation in industrial digital transformation as well as an important trend for organizations across the board. The research institute McKinsey estimated that by 2030, metaverse related technologies will be used in both consumer and enterprise settings, generating an estimated value of USD 4 to 5 trillion.

Metaverse as a technology also allows for flexible applications in both consumer and enterprise settings. Industrial metaverse applications are expected to start in the construction, insurance, education, retail, and manufacturing industries. The metaverse segment of the Smart Innovation Forum will feature speakers from ITRI, eYs3D Microelectronics, Jorjin Technologies, ARPlanet Digital, and more who will share their insights on Metaverse trends and future opportunities; as well as key semiconductor applications in metaverse, AI applications in metaverse, metaverse user interfaces, XR applications, and more.

The transition to focus more on electric vehicle and smart mobility has changed the mobility and transportation industries. This ongoing trend will affect the future of transportation in smart cities as smart mobility will be one of the main factors to achieve net zero and ESG goals set forth by many organizations and governments. According to a report by Grand View Research, the global smart mobility market is estimated to reach USD 285.12 billion by 2030 with a CAGR of 13% from 2023 to 2030. The smart mobility segment of the Smart Innovation Forum will feature speakers from Acer ITS, eTreego, and more to discuss the trend & development of EV chargers as an industry, sustainable smart transportation solutions, and other trends & developments in smart mobility and business opportunities in the industry.
