As one of the mainstays of InnoVEX, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest provides an opportunity for startups to present their innovations to the investors and visitors as well as to win dedicated prizes and networking opportunities. Interested startups are reminded that registration for the Pitch Contest will only be open for InnoVEX 2023 exhibitors. The InnoVEX 2023 Pitch Contest will feature a judge panel consisting of global investors; including VCs and CVCs invited by the organizer.

With the return of InnoVEX as an onsite event, many global VCs will once more join InnoVEX not only as visitors, but also as judges for the Pitch Contest. A number of influential international VCs will fly to Taiwan to join InnoVEX including: Ravi Belani, a Co-Founder of Alchemist Accelerator from the US which has been rated as a Platinum-level accelerator by Forbes, TechCrunch, and Harvard Business Review in recent years; and Tom Vanhoutten, the founder and managing partner of imec.xpand from Belgium, one of the world’s largest investors dedicated to early-stage semiconductor technologies. Other judges will include representatives from NVIDIA, Plug and Play Taiwan, Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support, and more.

The new judges joining in this year’s InnoVEX 2023 Pitch Contest will include: Alyssa Chen, Principal leading the Accelerator Arm of Appworks, a leading startup community and venture capital firm built by founders, for founders; Gudén García Pablos, a Portfolio Manager/ Industrial Investments in Criteria Caixa, the biggest Industrial Holding in Spain; and Jason Lu, director of Darwin Angel Investment, a boutique investment firm dedicated to emerging growth companies in Taiwan and Silicon Valley. This year, the participants will compete for various prizes including the Grand Prize, Future Star Award, Startup Terrace Award, Qualcomm Innovation Award, KPMG Award, and Taiwania Capital Innovation Award with more prizes to be confirmed. The top 10 finalists will also receive rewards including promotion materials, matchmaking opportunities, and more. The Pitch Contest Finals will take place on the last day of InnoVEX, June 2 on the Pi Stage at TaiNEX Hall 2, 1F.

Exhibitors interested in participating in the InnoVEX Pitch Contest must register before May 5 and prepare their pitch decks and 1-minute pitch video.
