Positioned as the innovation hub of Asia, InnoVEX 2024 was held from June 4 to 7 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2. Featuring 400 startups from over 30 countries and regions, the 2024's edition of InnoVEX is the most diverse since it started in 2016. As one of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that over the 4 days of the event, a total of 32,850 visitors joined InnoVEX 2024 from around the world. The event started with speeches by Ming-hsin Kung, Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan; Paul SL Peng, Chairman of Taipei Computer Association (TCA); and Simon Wang, President & CEO of TAITRA. The event was also joined by a number of VIPs, including the Premier of the Executive Yuan, Cho Jung-tai.

With a packed schedule, it is highly likely that visitors will be unable to join the events they are interested in due to scheduling conflicts. To help facilitate interested visitors who might not be able to join certain events in InnoVEX 2024, all events in the Center Stage and a number of events in the Pi Stage were livestreamed to the InnoVEX YouTube channel. In total, InnoVEX events including forums, matchmaking sessions, and demo & pitch sessions were joined by 5000 attendees who joined the events both onsite and online.

23 Pavilions Organized by International Trade Offices, Industry, Academia, Government, and more Joined InnoVEX 2024

As a startup focused event, InnoVEX gathers startups both individually or as part of a pavilions which are often organized by International Trade Offices, Industry, Academia, Governments, and more. The pavilions in InnoVEX 2024 were organized by: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Le French Tech, Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), Taiwan Research Institute Entrepreneur Ecosystem program (TREE), Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA), Garage+ Incubator, Indonesia Economic and Trade Office to Taipei (IETO), StarFab Accelerator, Flanders Investment & Trade, NTPC Digibase, Commercial Office of Brazil, Investment NSW (Australia), GxPartners, Keelung City Government Department of Economic Affairs, Go Incubation Board for Startup and Acceleration Firms (GISA), OKINAWA Prefectural Office, ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa, Startup India, Global Industry Platform of NTU System (T5GIP), Tamana City Hall, Training Program for Interdisciplinary Talents of Precision Health, and CNC Accelerator.

InnoVEX 2024 Night Party Added More Networking Opportunities

To help provide the participating startups with an opportunity to network in a more casual setting, InnoVEX exhibitors were invited to join the InnoVEX 2024 Night Party. Held in POPOP TAIPEI, the event gathered a total of 700 participants including startup representatives, forum speakers, international trade office representatives, VCs, CVCs, and more. The InnoVEX Night Party has become a mainstay event to gather exhibiting startups with potential investors, partners, etc. in a more casual setting for an opportunity for a more open and honest networking session.

New Events in InnoVEX 2024 Include Dedicated Matchmaking Events

One of the new events introduced in InnoVEX 2024, the InnoVEX 2024 Top 15 Meet Up gathered the 15 finalists of the Pitch Contest for a one-on-one matchmaking event. The event was held on June 7, 10:00 - 12:00 and a total of 52 matching sessions were held there. This is done to not only congratulate the Pitch Contest winners, but also to encourage the startups who joined the Pitch Contest.

In addition to the InnoVEX 2024 Top 15 Meet Up, TCA also held the TCA 50th Anniversary Events near the Center Stage where participants can participate in a quiz game. The event was warmly received with plenty of participants joining the game for an opportunity to win round-trip flight tickets.

InnoVEX 2025 will Take Place in May 2025

Leveraging the success of this year's events, InnoVEX 2025 will be held from May 20 to 23. More details will be provided as they emerge and interested parties are invited to follow the official social media channels for more updates from InnoVEX; including: Pitch Contest regulations, registration regulations, planned events, participating VIPs, and more.

The event will focus on 4 major topics: Semiconductor Applications, AI, Smart Mobility, and Green Tech. In total, over 400 startups from more than 30 countries and regions will join InnoVEX 2024. This year, InnoVEX will feature speakers from major global tech companies including Renesas, PSMC, and more. The winners of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest 2024 will be able to win prizes including cash or professional resource and services sponsored by Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC), KPMG, NVIDIA, NXP, the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee, PwC, and Taiwania Capital.
