The InnoVEX Pitch Contest was established to help startups and innovative teams in reaching a broader audience. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, InnoVEX has continued to attract widespread attention from all walks of life. As the registration deadline of April 25 approaches, startups from around the world have registered enthusiastically to compete for the awards and resources worth a total of USD 140,000.
As one of the organizers of InnoVEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) invited representatives from VCs, corporate venture capitals (CVCs), accelerators, incubators, and other players in the startup ecosystem to serve as judges for this year’s InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest. The judges will review the participating teams based on the submitted pitch decks in the preliminary review and a live pitch for the final stage.
The InnoVEX Pitch Contest is divided into 2 stages: the Preliminary Review and Final Stage. Based on the Preliminary Review, 15 teams will be selected to proceed to the Final Stage, with the Top 15 teams to be announced on May 12. The judges for the Preliminary Review stage include:
● Jack Chang - Partner Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Jack is currently a Partner Development Manager at AWS. Previously, he held roles as an SMB BD and Startup Pre-VC BD, managing over 500 small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and startup customers.
● Ting-Chun Lin - Investor at AppWorks
Ting-Chun Lin is an Associate covering investments and community building under the Southeast Asia Arm of AppWorks. Before joining the team, she worked as an assistant manager at Deloitte Financial Advisory, where she helped close various cross-border and local M&A deals successfully.
● Wilson Khoo - Director, Head of APAC Excluding Mainland China at co-pace GmbH
Wilson Khoo leads strategic projects in smart cities, Operations and Open innovation at co-pace GmbH, a subsidiary of Continental AG. Wilson holds an extensive education in engineering, computing and innovation and had several innovation and advisory roles in his career.
● Mike Lee - Senior Investment Manager at WK Innovation
Mike Lee is a senior investment manager at WK Innovation, who transformed from an entrepreneur to a venture capitalist and has been investing in technology industry trend research for many years.

The Final Stage will have a total of 5 judges which includes:
● Ting-An Wang - Executive Secretary of the National Development Fund of the Executive Yuan
Ting-An Wang undertook diplomatic missions to Israel and San Francisco on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He also served as a research advisor to the National Science Council to promote Taiwan-US scientific and technological cooperation projects. He is currently the Executive Secretary of the National Development Fund of the Executive Yuan.
● Gordon Harling - CEO of CMC Microsystems
Gordon Harling has worked in Research and Development at large companies such as Mitel, NovAtel, and DALSA. He has been a founder and CEO of several start-up companies including Goal Semiconductor, Elliptic Technologies, and Innotime Technologies.
● Lamin Ben Hamdane - Head of Startup Co-Innovation at Infineon Technologies
Lamin Ben Hamdane helps startups develop markets for innovative products for corporations and connect them with NXP Semiconductors. He is currently the Head of Startup Co-Innovation at Infineon Technologies and focuses on company operations and the semiconductor industry.
● Karen Yu - President of ITIC
Karen Yu founded the first Fairtrade company, OKOGREEN, which is listed in Taiwan GISA board. She was elected as a legislator-at-large in 2016 and pushed the improvement of the startup ecosystem as well as social innovation system by amending laws such as foreign talents recruitment, incentive scheme for foreign capital investment in Taiwan, sandboxes of fintech and unmanned vehicles, angel investment, etc.
● Tan Yinglan - Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures Partners
Tan Yinglan founded and is the Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures Partners, which is a Southeast Asian early-to-growth stage venture capital firm. They manage capital from premier institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, foundations, university endowments and renowned family offices from Asia, Europe and North America.
Participating in InnoVEX will provide startups with the opportunity to establish partnerships with international partners, manufacturing supply chains, investors, technology giants and government agencies. To achieve this goal, the organizers have expanded the rules to the Pitch Contest to allow non-exhibiting teams to also join the Pitch Contest for a chance to win the various awards provided by the organizers and sponsors, including: the Grand Prize, Future Star Award, Special Awards, and more.
The Grand Prize is sponsored by the organizers of InnoVEX and will award the winner with USD 10,000
cash prize, a shell scheme booth for InnoVEX 2026, promotional resources, the opportunity to join a
matchmaking session with the VC judges, a complimentary economy class air ticket from Taipei – US
sponsored by United Airlines, and a spot in the 2025 KPMG Energize Program for Entrepreneurs. After the
course ends, the winner will continue to enjoy 7 hours of KPMG consultation valued at USD 2,000 or
KPMG Meet & Match closed-door matchmaking events for international teams.
This year, the organizers will also sponsor all the winners to be interviewed by EE Times. The interview video will be published on the official channels of InnoVEX, COMPUTEX, and EE Times after the conclusion of InnoVEX) 2025 to help them reach a wider, global audience.
Open to startups in various stages: from the Seed Round, Angel Round all the way to Series-C, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest offers a full range of prizes; such as: professional resources, consultations, as well as promotional resources for the domestic and international markets. Interested startups are invited to register for the Pitch Contest before April 25 on the official InnoVEX website. Startups who are not participating in InnoVEX 2025 but wish to join the Pitch Contest must pay the registration fee; while InnoVEX 2025 exhibitors can join the Pitch Contest for free via their My InnoVEX account and registration system.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI was founded and named by the then Chairman of Taipei Computer Association (TCA), Stan Shih. In 1985, TCA invited TAITRA to be a co-organizer of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. In 2016, the startup focused event, InnoVEX was introduced.
