Christoph is responsible for innovation management at NEW AG, an utility and mobility service provider in the Lower Rhine region (NRW). In addition to the company's own incubator/accelerator, he is responsible for everything related to innovation, especially with a thematic focus on (renewable) energy, mobility, or sustainability. Previously, he managed startup activities for NRW's state-owned business development agency in Israel, linking Israeli startups with German SMEs and corporations, among other things.

NEW is a municipal utility with strong roots in the Lower Rhine region. The group of companies includes several subsidiaries. NEW supplies around 400,000 customers with electricity, around 150,000 with gas and around 100,000 with water. Regional services include local public transport with 245 buses and the operation of eleven indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
