Hamid Arabzadeh has been the Chairman and CEO of RANOVUS since its inception in 2012. Ranovus, with operations in Ottawa, Canada, Nuremberg, Germany, and Sunnyvale, USA, develops and manufactures advanced photonics interconnect solutions to support the next generation of AI/ML workloads in data centers. Prior to RANOVUS, Hamid was the Chairman and CEO of CoreOptics, a leading provider of 10/40/100Gbps optical subsystems for high-capacity networking applications, for 8 years before being acquired by Cisco in 2010.
Formerly, Hamid held various senior management positions at Nortel Networks in Latin America, Europe, and North America. His last role at Nortel was VP & GM of Metro Optical business unit.
Prior to joining Nortel, Hamid was the President of UNICAD information systems, a custom CAD/CAM software development company in Canada. He is the co-founder and co-funder of startups/scaleup companies in Data Center infrastructure, Identity Management and Healthcare market segments.
Hamid holds a B.A.Sc. from University of Waterloo in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA from McGill University. He enjoys soccer, tennis, and downhill skiing.
