Aldous Ng is 2019 Shaw College Distinguished Alumnus and 2017 Engineering Faculty Distinguished Alumni Distinguished Alumnus of CUHK. Since 2018 Aldous together with Prof. PC Ching, Prof. Raymond Yeung, Prof. Soung Liew and Prof. Patrick Lee have co-founded CU Coding Limited (CUC). The core technology of CUC called Network Coding has been invented and researched in the CUHK for the last 20 years which is recognized internationally for the state-of-the-art communication technology with total funding for HK$100M.

Aldous has been taking the chairperson role for industry associations to leverage I&T and lead the communities to change the world. Aldous was the President of The International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) in the GCR Chapter in 2019-2023. He also served as the Vice President of Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) in 2008-2010, and the Chairman of The Information and Software Industry Association (ISIA) in 2006-2009.
