Dr. Shao-Yi Chien, CEO of Ganzin Technology, is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU). He received his B.S. degree from NTU’s Department of Electrical Engineering in 2003 and joined the university as an assistant professor in 2004. He was promoted to full professor in 2012.
Dr. Chien served as Chair of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society’s Technical Committee on Multimedia Systems and Applications from 2017 to 2019. His research expertise includes AR/VR, eye tracking, computer vision, real-time image/video processing, video coding, computer graphics, and system-on-chip (SoC) design. He has published over 300 papers and holds more than 40 patents.
Since 2018, Dr. Chien has served as the Founder and CEO of Ganzin Technology, a company specializing in eye-tracking solutions for AR/VR and smart glasses. The company offers one of the most integrable and versatile solutions in the market.
