Dr. Ming-Tsung (Louis) Wu is an accomplished interdisciplinary researcher and biotech entrepreneur with extensive expertise spanning food science, biomedical research, bioinformatics, and agricultural science.
He has held research positions at leading institutions, including Academia Sinica (Taiwan), the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (Spain), Imperial College London, and the University of Cambridge (UK). Dr. Wu has been a key contributor to numerous international academic and industry collaborations.
Dr. Wu is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of GeneNet Technology, a rapidly growing AI-biosynthesis company based in Cambridge and Stevenage. GeneNet is pioneering the integration of deep learning into genetic circuit design, delivering next-generation solutions for bioproduction and drug discovery.
Beyond his role at GeneNet, Dr. Wu serves as Chairman of National Taiwan University Alumni Association in the UK, Vice-Chairman of the UK-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Associate Adviser to Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council, where he plays a vital role in strengthening UK–Taiwan academia , business and innovation partnerships.
He is also the Co-Principal Investigator of the first EUREKA GlobalStars Taiwan–UK Biomedical Digital Industry Project, as well as the UK–Taiwan Collaborative R&D Organoid-on-Chip Project, both aimed at advancing cross-border innovation in digital biotechnology and manufacturing.
