Jason Poon is the co-founder of Vellex Computing and a Professor of Electrical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley and was a postdoc at Stanford University, where he and his team spun out Vellex Computing. His research on AI, analog computing, and optimization is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and Department of Energy, and has been recognized with awards from IEEE and the Department of Energy.
