AI is one of the themes of InnoVEX 2024 and will be one of the topics of this year’s InnoVEX Forum. The recent boom in AI promoted by the development of generative AI (GenAI) related applications and other AI models/ technologies have encouraged more organizations, both enterprises and startups to pursue AI related business opportunities. As of time of writing, Tracxn reported 70,717 startups are focused on AI and AI applications, including in automotive, energy, healthcare, etc.

Leveraging this ongoing trend, one of the organizers of InnoVEX – Taipei Computer Association (TCA) as well as the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei will co-organize the Exploring the Future of AI Forum on June 5, 2024 15:30 to 17:30 (GMT+8). The forum will be held in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2, 4F at the InnoVEX Center Stage. The event will feature speakers from leading companies focusing on AI developments and applications including: NVIDIA, Ranovus, Kneron, and HCVC.

• Revolutionizing Manufacturing with Generative AI and NVIDIA Platforms by Dr. Ettikan Karuppiah, Director/Technologist, ROAP, NVIDIA
  NVIDIA pioneered accelerated computing to tackle various challenges and has engineered the most advanced chips, systems, and software for the AI factories of the future. They build new AI services that help companies create their own AI factories.
  Dr. Karuppiah heads the Asia Pacific South regional developer relations at NVIDIA. He works with NVIDIA technology adopting developers, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs to accelerate AI and GPU/DPU inclusion for their translational R&D and software development needs.
• Scaling AI with Co-Packaged Opticsby Mr. Hamid Arabzadeh, Chairman, President and CEO, RANOVUS
  RANOVUS® develops and manufactures advanced photonics interconnect solutions to support the next generation of AI/ML workloads in data centers and communication networks. Their Odin® platform is the enabling technology for a new data center architecture optimized for AI/ML workloads.
  Mr. Arabzadeh has been the Chairman, President and CEO of RANOVUS since its inception in 2012. He is also an Angel investor in startups in the Mobile, Cloud and Security market segments.
• Scaling GPT: The Future is on the Edgeby Dr. Albert Liu, Founder & CEO, Kneron
  Established in 2015, Kneron is a leading provider of full stack edge AI solutions based in San Diego. They are dedicated to developing integrated edge AI hardware and software solutions for vehicle, security, and broader AIoT applications.
  Before establishing Kneron in San Diego in 2015, Dr. Liu has worked in R&D and management positions in Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics R&D center, MStar and Wireless Information. He owns more than 30 international patents in the areas of AI, computer vision and image processing.
• End of SaaS Valuation Bubble and What It Means for Hardtech Startup Investments & Taiwan by Jerry Yang, General Partner, HCVC
  HCVC is a Paris-based VC firm managing €110M+ of investment funds and focusing on hardtech startups in Europe & US that seek to digitize, automate and decarbonize the physical economy. They invest in pre-seed and seed companies that leverage breakthrough technology to digitize, automate and decarbonize the world.
  Mr. Yang spent the first 12 years of his career in semiconductor both as an engineer and entrepreneur, across Taiwan, Silicon Valley and France. He led HCVC into investments in Giraffe360, Radian Aerospace, Sarcura and EVA AI.
