Established in 2013, the Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) at Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is the first university-based incubator in Taiwan. To date, it has nurtured over 950 startup and research teams, with an accumulated fundraising amount exceeding 300 million Taiwanese dollars annually. In 2015-2016, it was ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region and seventh globally by UBI Global, a leading organization in global incubator rankings.IAPS is committed to building a cross-border, cross-industry entrepreneurial ecosystem. It facilitates investment for domestic and international tech startups, connects them with industry partners both at home and abroad, and expands their presence in international markets.
