As the global demand for Generative AI (GenAI) computing grows and large language model (LLM) AI evolves continuously, corporate spending on AI and demand for AI application implementations are also rapidly increasing. As one of the organizers of COMPUTEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that according to a International Data Corporation (IDC) report, the global AI Infrastructure spending is expected to surpass USD 200 billion by 2028. In H1 2024, organizations increased their spending on compute and storage hardware infrastructure for AI deployments by 97% year over year and reached USD 47.4 billion.
Another report by IDC also stated that AI spending in APEJ (Asia Pacific excluding Japan), will grow by 1.7x of the rate of overall digital technology spending in the next three years. This trend is expected to generate an economic impact of over USD 1.6 trillion by the end of 2027 in APEJ; making cloud-based hybrid GenAI applications the mainstream trend in the AI market.
