One of the organizers of InnoVEX 2025, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) is proud to announce that InnoVEX will once again partner with the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee to help support and promote startups looking to expand into the Japanese market. This partnership includes sponsorship for the Okinawa Innovation Award and presence in the InnoVEX showgrounds as part of the Japan Pavilion.
As an organization under the IT Innovation and Strategy Center Okinawa (ISCO), the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee is the organizer of ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa, an IT/DX exhibition and business matching event with a capacity of 10,000 people. The event promotes DX (digital transformation) across all industries in Okinawa Prefecture and creates business both domestically and internationally from the tourist destination of Okinawa. Together, they aim to create a platform that can match IT solutions with various industrial fields both within and outside the Okinawa prefecture, as well as internationally through exhibitions, symposiums, seminars, and online seminars.
As part of their mission, the committee actively collaborates with global events, especially InnoVEX. 2025 marks the second consecutive year they have sponsored the Okinawa Innovation Award, demonstrating their strong commitment to supporting innovative startups.
Prize Increased to JPY 2.85 Million to Drive Startup Expansion in Japan
The Okinawa Innovation Award will be awarded to 1 winner who will receive a combination of cash prize as well as professional resources that valued at a total of JPY 2.85 million (equivalent to approximately USD 18,750 as of the time of writing); making it the largest InnoVEX Pitch Contest award sponsored by the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee yet. The prize consists of JPY 200,000 cash prize, JPY 300,000 travel subsidy to attend ResorTech EXPO 2025 and CEATEC 2025, 2 exhibition booths at ResorTech EXPO 2025, speaking opportunities on site and at online seminars, reception participation for 4 people, 2-hour reservation for business meeting room, publicity and advertising, demonstration opportunities in the demo environment area, and 1 exhibition booth at CEATEC 2025.
The winner of the Okinawa Innovation Award will have the opportunity to exhibit at ResorTech EXPO 2025 in Okinawa (November 13 – 14, 2025) and CEATEC 2025 in Tokyo (October 14 – 17, 2025). The winner will also receive a video interview, a trophy, and a certificate provided by the organizer of InnoVEX.
As a government-backed initiative, this award is a significant step for startups looking to expand into Japan. The winner of the previous Okinawa Innovation Award –
Fortune AI has not only succeeded in establishing international partnerships with Japanese companies during their exhibition in ResorTech EXPO 2024, they were also promoted by various Japanese digital and print media.
Through this opportunity, Fortune AI was able to sign a contract with a local Japanese partner and plans to focus on expanding to the Japanese market. Fortune AI has been dedicated to leveraging AI technology to advance the sports analytics and innovative security sectors. Before 2024, they have established a strong technological foundation in sports solutions and launched SAFE SWIM, a product designed to monitor and prevent drowning risks in swimming pools and aquatic facilities. Starting in 2025, they are extending their drowning prevention technology to open-water environments with the goal of enhancing information judgment and data synthesis by integrating generative AI and creating comprehensive, intelligent security solutions.
InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest Open for Non-Exhibiting Teams
2025 marks the 10th anniversary of InnoVEX 2025 and the event has grown significantly in this period; with the number of exhibitors doubling from 2016, while the number of visitors has tripled. Celebrating this remarkable milestone, the rules for the InnoVEX Pitch Contest have also been updated to allow non-exhibitors to join the competition after paying their registration fee; while InnoVEX 2025 exhibitors can join the Pitch Contest for free.
